ESP32-WROVER-IE is a high-performance Wi-Fi + Bluetooth + Bluetooth LE module based on the ESP32-D0WD-V3 chip, featuring an IPEX antenna connector and large PSRAM for advanced IoT and multimedia applications.

The ESP32-WROVER-IE series combines the high-performance memory capabilities of the WROVER family with an industrial-grade temperature range, making it perfect for mission-critical applications that demand both power and durability. Compared to the standard ESP32-WROVER-E, the IE variants are engineered for extreme temperatures-ideal for industrial automation, outdoor equipment, energy systems, and transportation devices. You still get the same Wi-Fi + Bluetooth dual-mode connectivity, but with hardware designed to keep running when conditions get rough.
Picking the right configuration comes down to your memory and flash requirements:
- N4R2 / N8R2 / N16R2: 2MB PSRAM with 4MB, 8MB, or 16MB flash. Great for industrial IoT devices that need extra memory for moderate data processing, logging, and buffering without overspending.
- N4R8 / N8R8 / N16R8: 8MB PSRAM with up to 16MB flash. Designed for heavy-duty workloads like real-time video analysis, edge AI inference, and high-resolution displays-even in hot, cold, or fluctuating environments.
